Located 18.2 kms from the resort, a safari at Mudumalai Tiger reserve is an unmissable affair. A rich ecosystem with evergreen pine, deciduous oak, and shola trees along with patches of stunted tropical montane forests between rolling grassland and tea plantation, this place is now home to panthers and bison, giant squirrels and tigers, and endemic species like the Nilgiri tahr. You can either book a morning or evening safari at the park for the same. The park is open all through the week. Other activities for wildlife lover includes a visit to Theppakadu Elephant Camp, which is only 12 kms from the resort, along with birding and trekking in the nearby areas.

  If you have more time on your hand, head to Ooty which is 33 kms away (drive time: 1 hour)  from the resort. Here you can visit the Botanical Garden, where the star attraction is a 20-million-year-old fossilised tree or take a joy ride on the Nilgiri Mountain Railways toy train, which features on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. Don’t forget to pack tea and homemade chocolates as souvenirs for your friends back home.
